Mexico
My trip to Mexico was an exploration in the capital, Guadalajara. And then deeper to Tequila country! I had the opportunity to witness first hand the making of tequila. The chopping of the agave, the ovens in which the agave is cooked for over twelve hours, the fermentation, and right to the bottle!
If you know the proper way to drink Tequila, you know it is sipped, from a snifter. It compares to that of sipping a bourbon, cognac, or scotch. Much of Tequila is aged in barrels, much like these liquors, for months at a time, giving off its beautiful smoky aroma and taste.
